This is a very sparsely populated area– the only industry is logging and mining.     It is pretty darn quiet here and heavily wooded.  Very little infrastructure (no restaurants) in the immediate area but the hardware store 10 minutes away has pretty much everything you need, including some grocery basics. You can find big  grocery stores in Iron Mountain and Ishpeming.
